Benjamin Russell's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Saraland by a score of 35-7. Since 2010, Benjamin Russell has gone a combined 61-34. The Wildcats will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region three this season. They have qualified for the playoffs every year since 2010 and are hopeful to continue that streak in 2018. The Wildcats open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Beauregard on Friday, August 24 at Sportsplex. Last year the Beauregard Hornets finished with an overall record of 10-2 and in first place in Class 5A region four. The Hornets lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 5A playoffs to St. Pauls by a score of 52-20. Benjamin Russell and Beauregard have met a total of 6 times on the football field.
